释义	【正字通】〈佘〉石斜切。音蛇。姓也。唐佘欽宋佘起明佘耀又楊愼轉注古音余音蛇人姓。見《姓苑》出南昌郡字本作蜍省虫為余今俗書作佘从入从示，非。又〈佘/䖵〉音蛇禹妃家也。桺宗元天對禹懲于續〈佘/䖵〉婦圅合轉作蜍作佘非據此說姓有余無佘肰考楊氏希姓言佘安宋咸淳中廷對第一字不作余又未嘗無佘姓何前後自矛盾至此經史所載禹娶塗山氏塗別作嵞屾譌為䖵桺子天對。本作嵞非〈佘/䖵〉音蛇韻通因俗本桺集作〈佘/䖵〉故音蛇誤也。《泝原》佘附示部謂佘當用𨛭。亦非。
